SW Border Transportation & Security Officer w/CDL, Yuma, AZ

GENERAL TRANSPORTATION OFFICER DUTIES and PREPARATION include:
Ensure detainees are properly prepared for and transported in accordance with CUSTOMS & BORDER PROTECTION Performance Standards.
Patting down all detainees and applying appropriate restraints prior to boarding vehicles.
Monitoring detainees to ensure appropriate behavior during transport.
Securing the detainee transfer paperwork in the vehicle and ensuring appropriate distribution upon delivery of detainees to destinations.
Ensure the inventory of detainee baggage/valuables has been properly completed by visual examination of appropriate documentation.
Advise supervisor at least 45 days in advance of the expiration of Commercial Driver’s License and medical DOT certificate.
Perform other duties as directed by the Sector Manager.

LANGUAGE SKILLS – Must be able to:
Write clearly and concisely using acceptable grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Write organized, complete, accurate and factual reports.
Understand and apply written and verbal orders, rules and regulations.
Bilingual preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – Must be able to:
Must pass DOT physical
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Adapt to temperature changes (including extreme heat).

CURRENT PAY: $26.22/HR, plus Health & Welfare of $4.22/HR (Employee Medical OR 401K)

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: CDL w/ passenger and airbrake endorsement – must be obtained within six months from your date of hire. The Company will help you to obtain this. State Armed Guard License – MUST obtain and maintain valid. The Company will assist with this by providing the training necessary. Must pass ISS Action Background Investigation. Must be able obtain CBP Public Trust & Suitability Clearance (eQip). Must have a clear criminal history; no felonies or Class A misdemeanors. Must have and maintain a safe driving record. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must possess a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Must be 21 years of age or older.
